Moderate Sulphate Resisting Cement (MSRC) Type II
MSRC is a Portland cement for general use, specifically when moderate sulphate resistance is desired. (commonly referred to as
ASTM C 150 Type II cement).
This cement is typically used in concrete exposed to moderately aggressive sulphate environments where concrete comes in contact with soil containing moderate sulphate content and is meant for use when concrete is in contact with soils and groundwater.
A limitation on the composition is that the (C3A) shall not exceed 8%, which reduces its vulnerability to sulphates.
